What external drive should I use for External Drive Editing? (iOS)

The External Drive Editing function works best with SSDs at 1050 Mbps or higher read speeds and only works with USB-C or a Thunderbolt 3 connection. We do not recommend using a hard disk drive (HDD) with LumaFusion. For additional information on this feature, please review the following reference guide page: External Drive Editing from USB-C

If you have access to a computer, we strongly recommend that you reformat your drive to APFS before using it in LumaFusion. You can find out more on how to format an external SSD in the Apple support page here.
